Frances Ngaw FCPA, CFA joined Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd as a Senior Investment Manager, where she oversees Government-Linked Companies and projects in the sectors involving Logistics & Transportation, Hospitality & Leisure, and Defence. She currently holds memberships in various boards and committees in the sectors mentioned above as well as in Renewables and Telecommunications.

She holds over 16 years of professional experience under her belt. Before being a board member in Comquest Sdn Bhd, Frances began her career as an auditor in Singapore before working in Deloitte Brunei where she manages external auditing, taxation, management consultancy and corporate secretarial assignments.

She then worked as a financial controller in the Brunei private sector in the construction industry. At the end of 2004, Frances joined a subsidiary of Brunei Investment Agency where she continued her career in Investment Banking and Portfolio Management.

In January 2009, Frances then joined the Investment Department, Ministry of Finance of Brunei to set up Strategic Development Capital Fund (SDCF), where she managed SDCF’s team and its portfolio of investments in FDIs and JVs in Brunei and overseas. During her tenure at SDCF, she held memberships in various boards and committees which cover sectors in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Shipping, Pharmaceutical, Private Equity Funds, Simulation Training, Food Processing, Submarine Cable.

Frances later joined Pitcher Partners in Australia in late 2017 where she was involved in Mergers & Acquisitions in the Australian mid-market where transaction size ranges between AUD5m to AUD50m.

Frances graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) Degree from Monash University in 1995. She obtained her CPA qualification in 1999 and went on to qualify as a CFA charterholder in 2008. She later became a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant (FCPA) in 2015.
